JOINT SCHEDULING COMMITTEE

The Joint Scheduling Committee is comprised of two separate groups of personnel, one group from the Union and one from the Company. The joint committee meets on a quarterly basis per Section 17 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The NJASAP Scheduling Committee volunteers work outside these quarterly meetings, collecting and analyzing scheduling data to improve overall quality of life issues for the membership. Additionally, the Union Scheduling Committee addresses day-to-day issues with pilots who have a scheduling issue, which typically involves vacation bidding, bid awards, aircraft bids, standing bids, and training dates. Union scheduling representatives rely on the relationships they have developed with Company schedulers to effect positive change for individual pilots.

Mission Statement
Union Scheduling Committee representatives are committed to improving quality of life issues for the membership by working with the Company on all scheduling-related issues. Committee representatives will engage in meetings with the Company in good faith to ensure contract compliance with scheduling issues addressed in Sections 3, 8, 14, 19, and 28 of the collective bargaining agreement. The committee seeks to develop new scheduling methods and concepts that enhance quality of life issues while simulatenously increasing Company utilization.
